Meet the Editors

Benjamin Hojem is a PhD candidate in Rhetoric and Composition at the University of Cincinnati and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. Prior to pursuing a PhD, he whiled away his youth in NYC publishing and earned an MFA in fiction from Wichita State University. His current research interests include composition history, genre studies, identity in literacy and writing studies, and antiracist practices in composition and creative writing pedagogy. When he’s not thinking about writing and teaching, he enjoys cooking, listening to comedy podcasts, and following the USMNT and the “Big Five” European soccer leagues.

Jada Patchigondla is a full-time lecturer at UCLA. She received her M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on rhetoric, composition, and linguistics from California State University, Northridge and her B.A. in English Literature from UC Irvine. In her free time, she spends time with her 4-year-old daughter and likes to go on long walks. She would watch more Netflix if she had more time.

Her research centers on composition theory and pedagogy, specifically teaching for transfer. Taczak’s upcoming work will appear in Writing Spaces, International Journal of Work-Integrated (IJWIL), and Composition Forum. Outside of scholarly and teacherly pursuits, she enjoys Crossfit and yoga as well as binging (and re-binging) any of The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and hangin’ with her super high maintenance dogs, Tilly and Moya.
